總結:Carbon oxidation (CO2) emissions' effects on the environment have raised concerns among international environmental organizations and marine authorities. Approximately 80% of all goods traded internationally are transported by sea, and this proportion is even higher for most developing countries. More fossil fuel is being consumed as a result. The industry needs to change in response to high fuel consumption pressure and legislative attempts to reduce environmental impact by implementing the new standard EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index). This new standard is established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to regulate the weight of the new ship larger than 400 gross tonnages, the authorities may grant a few exceptions that up until 2017 mentioned in the MEPC resolution (Marine Environment Protection Committee). The goal of this regulated indicator is to encourage innovative technology to be used since the initial design phase to lower full-load usage for fuel energy. Tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, and general cargo vessels are just a few of the many vessels to which it is relevant. This work established the calculation model for energy efficiency of marine low-speed diesel container ships and offered dynamic simulation analysis for shipping stakeholders to develop energy consumption assessment indices for the selected containership to be used for simulation in various scenarios. The simulation is according to the current situation of fuel consumption measures EEDI (Energy Efficient Design Index) enforced to be complied with by marine transportation ships. The result of simulation in different scenarios demonstrates the relationship of fuel consumption with energy efficiency in the calculation model of EEDI. The EEDI is a quantifiable number that is used to compare different scenarios in visualized method and enhance the understanding of how different factors affect the energy efficiency. Therefore, given instructions on how to determine the EEDI and choose the technologies that will maximize energy efficiency and minimize fuel consumption. The cost and possible long-term savings from deploying the EEDI in comparison to current technologies and the offer to ship owners of the efficient ship.
