In today’s mobile communication, more antennas are needed in both the terminal
and base station. At the same time, the size of the equipment is expected
to be smaller and smaller. The small spacing between antenna elements will
inevitably lead to a strong mutual coupling problem. This will seriously affect
the radiation performance of the antenna, so decoupling is needed in the
antenna array.
The decoupling method of radiation pattern diversity can be achieved to improve
the isolation characteristics between antennas by making the radiation pattern
of antennas point to different directions so that there will be no intersection.
Because the monopole antenna has an omnidirectional radiation directional
plot. When two monopole antennas are close to each other, they will have
strong coupling, so this project selects monopole antenna to study the radiation
pattern diversity decoupling method.
This project achieves the deflection of the radiation pattern of the monopole
antenna by loading a generalized metasurface structure composed of metal rings
around the monopole so that the radiation direction map of the monopole forms
a conical beam and produces a null in the horizontal direction. Thus achieving
the goal of decoupling the monopole antenna array. The decoupling structure is
simple and easy to implement, with relatively good performance. |
