The researcher hypothesized that (a)Preferred language and Home language would be significantly correlated with Values endorsement, (b)Parents and children who endorsed similar Values would have higher perceived Parenting scores, (c)Parents and children who have similar Home language would have higher perceived parenting scores. Results indicated that only Home language was significantly correlated with Values endorsement, parent-child pairs with similar Values had higher Parenting scores and no link could be directly established between Language and perceived Parenting style.
