从日常生活中能够接触到的文学影视作品，到更为严肃的各类学术领域 之中，都充斥着妖怪的身影。然而，对于妖怪系统化的研究却是一门较为新颖 的课题。 近年来《山海经》在设计行业备受瞩目，中日韩妖怪题材的影视作品 在国际上更是收获前所未有的热度， 再度掀起了学者对于亚洲妖怪题材的研究 热潮。 在众多形形色色的妖怪之中，狐妖历史久远、广为流传，在民间备受欢 迎并对社会文化有着深远影响， 因此具有研究价值。 为此， 笔者选择以狐妖为 例，在本文中探讨中日背景之下狐妖形象的演变及其在不同时空之下所反映的 社会环境与文化心理。 From the works of literature which we come into contact with in our everyday lives, to the various fields of scholarly studies, everywhere we look we could see the monsters who have never left our sides. Even so, monster study is a field which is relatively new to the research world. With the impact of Shan Hai Jing on haute couture in the recent years, and the huge rise of popularity of Chinese, Japanese and Korean cinematics associated with the themes of monster culture globally, it has piqued researchers’ curiosity towards the study of monsters in the Asian world. Among a wide variety of monsters, the fox spirit boasts a long history and has widespread influence upon the Asian cultures. This, combined with its popularity among the common folks has led me to choose the fox spirit as a topic of interest in my research. Through this study, I aim to explore the differences in the image of fox spirit in China and Japan, and by comparing the differing images, I strive to uncover the societal and cultural mentality hidden behind the façade of the fox spirit Yao Guai.
