It is an emerging field that aims to construct large complex biological systems by using small distinct parts. Therefore, numerous parts and devices such as inverter or oscillator were constructed; however, these parts lack systematical characterization. It is crucial to characterize these parts using a standard methodology so that they can be utilized to construct more complex biological systems. The main objective of this project is to propose a novel comprehensive methodology for characterization. Various techniques are employed for modeling and characterizing these parts. Through this approach, complete data sheet can be obtained for all the parts, including:  Detailed mechanisms/chemical reactions,  Ordinary Differential Equations  MATLAB/SIMULINK models  Experiment results and etc. This approach was verified and confirmed by characterization experiment of isolated Lac Operon, the results shows that this approach can be used to systematically and modularly characterize all the parts.
