Circuits are the basic building blocks of electronic devices and play an important role in their operation. One of the most important branches of digital integrated circuits is the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), which is a communication port commonly used in circuits. This thesis will investigate the effect of different design configurations of accumulators and fir filters of the same function on their area, speed, and energy consumption, finding the relationship between them. Finally, this theory will be applied to the design of a series-connectable 4-byte SPI port.
