Many people would choose to send the seniors in the family to nursing home or eldercare centre. While this option might be applicable to some families, but definitely not all the families as affordability is one of the major problems to be considered. Moreover, such eldercare methods also require manpower, and often results in a social separation between seniors and their family members. This project involves three members including me, with each of us having different individual focus. It is also a competition entry to the Microsoft Imagine Cup competition, of which we have won in the lifestyle category in Asia regional final. Through this project, we aim to tackle this social problem by creating an affordable and customizable smart eldercare solution for all family with an elderly living alone. In the following report, I will be focusing on developing the 3D reconstruction model which serves as the essential step to our solution, as well as the behaviour analysis model that is being used to analyze sensor data and generate health report for the family member to better understand the health status and living quality of their beloved ones.
