The study was conducted with the use of “Static Structure Analysis”, where the model designed was placed under different supporting conditions and have their deformation recorded. Further studies were then conducted with differing ply angles and ply layers to analyse in detail how each of these factors can affect deformation experienced by a material. The results obtained in this project showed the significance of the impact that deflection is affected by supporting conditions. The results can potentially help give insights to how material mechanical failure can be prevented and how the resistance of the material against deformation can be improved.
