Summary: | Good education has always been an emphasized-upon aspect of Singapore. Despite the recent shift of focus to holistic education in recent years, traditional art education is still generally more inaccessible, especially to specific social groups.
The Covid-19 pandemic forced a switch to online learning, causing a global shift in the way teaching was done. There was a spike in scrutiny in how remote learning can be made more effective and engaging.
The objective of this project is to develop a mobile application that focuses on art education for students and adults alike. The motivation behind picking art as a subject to teach through this application will be expanded upon later in the report.
The application will have several key features that will help teach art. The features include virtualization of traditional ways to teach art, and some which take advantage of technology by teaching techniques that might be difficult to teach in traditional settings.
This report will detail the motivation and process behind creating the application, which will be named “AR-t”. It will be concluded with a review of the objectives of the application and recommendations for future work. Recommendations include additional features for the application to work better. |
