Description
Summary:Down Syndrome (DS) is one of the most representative innate genetic disorders in presence. Individuals with DS usually exhibits mild to moderate level of intellectual impairment, thus are usually uncapable of communicating through natural languages. Such symptoms have posed many challenges in these individuals’ daily lives and have made it nearly impossible for them to live independently. Thus, this project aims to develop an assistive digital solution to help DS individuals live a more independent and quality life, mainly through helping them communicating through a more effective approach. This report begins by reviewing existing research findings on Down Syndrome and exploring various technologies that will be employed to develop the solution. Subsequent sections discuss the project's design and implementation, as well as a detailed breakdown of the solution's features. The report concludes with recommendations for potential improvements and future work.
