Description
Summary:This final year project report details the implementation process of a native iOS mobile application that leverages social media technologies to create new opportunities for F&B businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The app, developed using the SwiftUI framework, enables users to create and share food-related content online while utilizing Google Firebase as a backend support for authentication and database systems. One of the app's unique selling points is its ability to identify food names from food images uploaded by users, which is made possible through the integration of a neural network. This report documents the collection of application requirements, the design process, and the development of both front- end and back-end components, including the integration of a neural network. It also presents the challenges encountered during the development process and suggests recommendations for future enhancements.
