Summary: | An eyeball-controlled cursor is an innovative technology that allows users to control the movement of a cursor on a screen with their eyes. This technology uses eye-tracking capabilities to keep track of the user’s eye movements and translates them into cursor movements. The benefits of eyeball-controlled cursor technology include ease of use for people with physical disabilities, improved productivity for professionals who use computers extensively, and reduced arm and wrist strains from excessive mouse or touchpad use. Additionally, this technology has potential applications in fields such as virtual reality and gaming. As technology continues to improve, it has the potential to transform the way we interact with computers and digital devices. Although there are gaze-controlled devices out in the market, the cost per unit is pricey. This project aims to design a cheaper alternative that uses a Raspberry Pi 4 embedded system along with the Pi camera to aid people with disabilities especially those with limited use of their arms to be able to use the computers with ease. It will allow users to use only their eyes to control the movements of the mouse cursor as well as to do a left and right click. |
