Similarly, students pursuing a Masters of Science in Cyber Security (MSCS) are required to complete a Professional Internship during their studies. Due to the complexity of assigning FYP projects to students, an external Software Engineer developed the Student Selection System (SSS) to streamline the process and reduce the workload for the FYP coordinator. The engineer also designed the Hungarian algorithm used to help automate the allocation process resulting in lesser time and effort spent by the coordinator. Additionally, it also reduces the risk of human error when handling hundreds of FYP projects every semester. With every FYP project, there will be an assigned faculty staff to examine the project. To address the challenges of manually assigning examiners and scheduling exams, the Faculty Examiner Allocation System (FEAS) was developed to automate the allocation process and reduce the risk of human error such as the examiner, date, time and location of the exam. This automation like the SSS significantly reduces the amount of time, effort and risk of human error by the coordinator. The Masters Professional Internship Application (MPI App) was proposed by Dr. Li Fang to be used as a platform for MSCS students and companies looking for an intern to connect with each other. The maintenance and improvement to the FEAS/SSS systems have been handled by every batch of students who took this project for their FYP who in turn will pass down to the next batch of FYP students including the new MPI App to ensure the system works as intended. The aim of this FYP project is to continue the maintenance of this project while implementing possible improvements to the system to further improve its efficiency. As part of the undergraduate curriculum in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, it is mandatory for all students to go through a module known as the Final Year Project (FYP) in order to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer Science).
