Description
Summary:Food waste has become a growing problem in Singapore. Across the world, it is one of the largest waste streams and the amount of food waste generated has grown by 20% over the past decade. However, food insecurity still exists in Singapore with 2 in 5 people experiencing it at least once a month according to a study published by the Food Bank Singapore in 2021. The aim of this project is to create a communication medium for restaurants and food bank organisations to coordinate efforts to redistribute excess food and thus reduce food insecurity and food wastage. This project is built with Flutter with MySQL for the backend implementation.
