Summary: | The exponential growth in smartphone usage can be traced back to June 29, 2007, when Apple
officially launched the first smartphone, the iPhone. Since then, many smartphone companies
have released their own mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, leading to a massive
increase in mobile traffic.
Smartphones have become a crucial part of our lives, as people now carry them around
everywhere. Not only can they make calls and send texts, but they also have various functions
like internet browsing and taking pictures. With the ability to process images, people can share
their photos on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. Image
processing helps extract information from an image to understand the scene. While this used
to require a powerful GPU on a desktop computer, advancements in mobile SoCs now allow
smartphones to perform image processing algorithms.
The Flash! is a mobile application developed for Android smartphones that enables users to
capture images using the built-in camera or select them from the gallery. The processed images
can then be saved and shared on various social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and
WhatsApp. |
