Description
Summary:The main focus of this investigation is to utilize both thermal treatment and thermal mechanical treatment to investigate the possibility of producing patterned color and shape memory effects in Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). Several experiments were carried out to examine PET's properties, including its degree of crystallization and crystallinity, when exposed to different thermal mechanical techniques. The aim of the research was to determine whether it is feasible to create colored PET with exceptional shape memory properties. Various methods, such as Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Dynamic Mechanical Analysis, stretching, heating, and shape memory testing, were utilized in the study. The outcomes revealed that PET with a high degree of crystallinity can display remarkable changes in color, along with exceptional shape memory and recovery abilities.
