The application allows users to capture images from their mobile device cameras or select images from the gallery. Users can then preview and edit images using filters and tools such as cropping, text and emoji addition, and filtering. The edited images can be saved to the device gallery or shared on social media platforms directly from the application. The application was developed using Android Studio, the official Integrated Development Environment for Android development, and Java programming language, a popular language for Android app development. The DS Photo editor Software Development Kits (SDK) were incorporated to improve the application's image processing capabilities. Compatibility and performance on a range of devices were ensured by testing the application on Android emulators during the development stage and on Android smartphones before deployment. This image processing application provides an easy-to-use and feature-rich solution for enhancing image quality on mobile devices, catering to the growing need for visual content creation and sharing in today's digital landscape.
