The idea of this project is to bring travelling to them, using the integration of virtual reality to experience virtual travelling at the comfort of their own homes. To ensure a more authentic experience, enhanced sensory perceptions are built on top of the visuals for a more comprehensive experience. Family companionship proves to be an integral part of travelling, hence the channel for interaction should be implemented to allow family members to be part of the virtual shared experience with the elderly. Artificial intelligence is also incorporated to serve as a form of companionship in the absence of live interaction.
