Summary: | Partial discharge (PD) harms high voltage electrical systems reliability and durability. The precise detection of PD occurrence plays a crucial part in maintaining high voltage electrical systems. The aim of this project is to develop a cost-effective HFCT sensors that could work as effective as existing commercial sensors. The most important factor when designing a HFCT sensors would be ensuring the bandwidth measurement matches the bandwidth of the model that would be developed. This project shows the experiment results using MnZn and NiZn ferrite cores for the developed HFCT. This project aims to investigate the impacts of core size, copper coil windings and the material on the HFCT. This report will also disclose the transfer function used. |
