Decoding and reconstruction of digital video broadcast signals

The discussion of this project is to analyze available algorithms that simulate the Digital Video Broadcasting - second generation terrestrial (DVB-T2) signal transmission, propagation channel, and reception, with a focus on understanding the DVB-T2 signal decoding and reconstruction processes. The...

The project will involve implementing a software-based simulation using MATLAB and analyzing the results to identify which algorithms are most effective in decoding and reconstructing with the DVB-T2, Common Simulation Platform (CSP). The Bit Error Rate (BER) is a measure of the number of error bits that occur in the received signal compared to the total number of transmitted bits. It is influenced by factors such as the quality of the received signal, the modulation scheme used, the coding rate, and the channel conditions. Understanding the BER is important for evaluating the performance of a DVB-T2 system and ensuring the quality of the received signal.
