Summary:As the world gets increasingly digitalized, online shopping has become the new normal. Many people relied on online shopping because it is much cheaper, convenient, and faster than the traditional bricks and mortar stores. However, the increase in online shopping causes a surge in the volume of parcels sorting in the warehouse. The high workload puts warehouse workers under constant pressure to work faster and harder and this often resulted in serious injuries such as slipped disc. Therefore, this Final Year Project (FYP) aims to create a Line-Following robot using Arduino Uno that can autonomously pick up boxes autonomously in a warehouse. By integrating a car chassis with an artificial intelligence (AI) camera, the robot will be able to follow the line path automatically, while the mechanized robot arm can pick up parcels of up to 0.1 KG all while being autonomous. This robot will help to reduce manual handling injuries suffered by warehouse workers, by carrying heavy parcels for them.
