The importance of health care for middle-aged adults, particularly those with diabetes or high blood pressure, cannot be overstated. During this stage of life, individuals face various physiological changes and health challenges that can significantly impact their overall well-being. Hence, this report presents the development of a mobile health application, named “On-Care”, designed to cater to middle-aged adults, particularly those with diabetes and high blood pressure. The app aims to fill a gap in the market by offering a comprehensive solution that focuses on the preventive and precautionary aspects of health management. The app boasts a plethora of features that cater specifically to the needs of middle-aged adults dealing with diabetes and high blood pressure. These functionalities include a seamless login and registration system, a multifaceted Journal section (covering blood pressure, diabetes, BMI, and FAQs), tailored food recommendations, streamlined medical record management, convenient appointment scheduling, up-to-date news updates, an intuitive chatbot for instant assistance, and a user profile section for easy customization. My personal input focused on several essential components of the app. I was responsible for designing and implementing the login and registration system, ensuring a secure and user-friendly experience. Additionally, I developed the Journal section, which encompasses the tracking of blood pressure and glucose levels, a BMI calculator, as well as providing users with valuable information through the FAQs. I also worked on the news update feature, curating relevant and informative content that empowers users to stay informed about health-related topics. Moreover, I was involved in creating the medical record management system and integrating the chatbot functionality, further enhancing the app’s usability and value for the target audience.
