Description
Summary:In order to determine the current state of the power system, scholars have used some formulations relating voltage, current, power flow, power injection to build up state estimator(SE), SE is able to supply the accurate and efficient monitoring of operational constraints about transmission line loadings and bus voltage magnitudes. The traditional state estimator normally does not measure voltage phase angles. It makes the estimator use a large memory to estimate the current state, and take some time to obtain the solution. The results may not be accurate enough. In this project, phase measurement units (PMUs) will be used in the state estimator. Incorporating angle measurements in traditional state estimation will improve the accuracy of the results. This project will use phase angles supplied by PMUs to build up a new state estimator to solve the entire voltage values of the microgrid network. We will find that through simulation the new SE can estimate accurate voltage values in less time.
