Summary: | Past research for the design of amplifiers have not been universal. The best option and most optimal design for the specifications in that project, may not be the best for a different application. This is due to the trade-offs that exist in the designing and operation of an amplifier[1]. Some examples of the operating parameters that are affected by trade-off are gain and bandwidth.
Other information such as device architectures will also vary for different applications. Past research articles may mention that a certain structure or configuration is optimal for the purposes of that project. However, the information on those structures and blocks, and how optimal it is, may not be easily available. Some of the basic blocks are the gain stage and the output stage.
Therefore, this project is done to allow for a better understanding of the different variables of an amplifier as well as provide information for the basic stages in the amplifier. |
