Description
Summary:This study covers the experimental investigation of ultraviolet (UV) resin and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)-like resin properties when it is cross-linked via UV and its shape memory behaviour. Several tests were conducted to observe the characteristics of both UV resin and ABS-like resin and when it is mixed with other polymers such as Polycaprolactone (PCL) and Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Characteristics such as the crystallisation and effects when cured over different filters. The experiments are performed using mechanical testing devices such as Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). A shape memory effect test will also be performed to study the degree of shape memory fixity and recovery properties exhibited at low a temperature and at room temperature.
