As a final year project, I propose to develop a web application for lost and found items. The Lost and Found web application will allow users to report lost items and search for found items in an organized database. The web application will have two main functionalities: reporting a lost item and searching for a found item. When a user reports a lost item, they will be required to provide a detailed description of the lost item, including its name, category, date and place of loss, and any distinguishing features. Users can also upload pictures of the lost item to aid in its identification. The application will then add the lost item to its database. On the other hand, if a user finds an item, they can upload a picture of the found item, provide a description of the item, and the location where it was found. The application will add the found item to its database. Users can then search the database for lost or found items. If the user finds a match, they can contact the owner of the item to arrange for its return. The Lost and Found web application will provide a platform for people to report lost and found items, making it easier for owners to locate their lost belongings. It will also promote social responsibility and help to build a stronger community by encouraging people to help others in need.
