Description
Summary:The objective of this thesis revolves around the implementation of a controller responsible for the control of the optical components in the quantum computing system via the Digital -Analog Converter. This task was achieved by means of a circuit board that connects the various components of the experimental setup together, including the phase shifters, the detectors, and the Q8 driver. The Q8 driver used in this experiment is capable of generating analog signals with a high degree of precision, making it well-suited for controlling phase shifters in the context of quantum computing. It has a 16-bit resolution and can generate signals at speeds up to 4 GS/s, making it one of the fastest DACs on the market. The dissertation presents the details of the application of linear optics in the photonic quantum computing systems and the control algorithm developed for the Q8 driver.
