| Summary: | This final year project report is a detailed journey on the role of a creative producer in the student short film “Janus”, seeing through the project from the beginning in its inception until the end of post- production. The creative producer entails being part of making creative decisions and discussions on the story as a stakeholder, also because of the collaborative process with the writer-director, whom I have been working with closely previously. As a student filmmaker myself, taking on the role of a producer for the first time in this short film demands my skills that I have acquired in the past, while working on expanding my film knowledge in the present, while looking towards my future as a filmmaker and the possible projects that I can do. As such, by applying my creative inputs beyond the medium of the script, have resulted in a project that hopes to stand out both visually and narratively and to be a film that the director and I are most satisfied with. |
