This report serves to document the creative process and reflects on the 2D animated short film titled 阿俐，吃飯咯！(aka Ah Ly, food's ready! ) as a whole. It is a short film that depicts the growing-up memories of a university student. The emotions of the protagonist and the moments are presented mainly through food and sound. The film is ultimately about homesickness and would like to bring out the message of cherishing every moment in life. The film was both directed and produced by Chan Yen Ly, supervised by Prof. Hans-Martin Rall, and co-supervised by Associate Prof. Davide Benvenuti. The composition of the music and sound design for the film were done as a collaboration project, with the help of Alex Glatzel and Mario Mößlang, mentored by Prof. Olaf Taranczewski from Trossingen University of Music in Germany.
