‘So Long (Till We Meet Again)’ is a 2D animated short film that tells a story about a white cat chases a red butterfly in a spiritual world and later discovers that he is actually dead. It explores and reflects on the student's thoughts on death and afterlife in her own culture. So Long’s overall style adopted monochromatic with red as the main colour to form strong contrast on the visuals which were deliberately designed to cooperate with the narration. This report records the research and development of the film, as well as explains the reasons behind every artistic choices.
