Among its departments is the EEE Outreach Office, a section dedicated to touching base with secondary and tertiary institutions with the intention of promoting NTU’s EEE course via outreach workshops and school visits. Such activities allow students to be introduced to the world of EEE and its vast applications. Students can expect to be inspired to pursue a bachelor’s degree and by extension a career in EEE as they enjoy learning about electrical concepts through engaging workshops and lab tours curated by this department. For this project, the author has attempted to fuse elements of playing an escape room together with conducting an outreach workshop for students without prior experience in electronics. The outcome was favourable, with participants enjoying the process of building and playing the games. It has even piqued the interest of professionals in the electronics industry as escape rooms are not commonly associated with electronics in the eyes of the public.
