Ammonia removal through ion exchange

The adsorption capacity and removal efficiency of three adsorbents (50WX8, MAC-3 and Zeolite) were found by varying initial adsorbate concentration, adsorbent dosage and contact time. The adsorption isotherm of the adsorbents was studied and fitted to the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Mea...

Description
Summary:The adsorption capacity and removal efficiency of three adsorbents (50WX8, MAC-3 and Zeolite) were found by varying initial adsorbate concentration, adsorbent dosage and contact time. The adsorption isotherm of the adsorbents was studied and fitted to the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Meanwhile, the adsorption kinetics of the adsorbents was studied and fitted to the pseudo-first-order (PFO) and pseudo-second-order (PSO) kinetics models.
