In many industries, this is achieved through the use of test batteries, which allow employers to compare candidates against one another. However, such a test battery is not currently available for the vessel traffic service operator industry. Therefore, the objective of this study is to develop a test battery specifically designed for vessel traffic service operators. This battery will be based on a thorough analysis of the skills and knowledge required for the job, as well as an assessment of the current skill levels of operators in the industry. By creating a test battery tailored to the vessel traffic service operator industry, this study aims to provide employers with a more effective and reliable way to assess candidates' skill levels. This, in turn, will help to ensure that the most qualified candidates are hired for these critical positions, ultimately contributing to the safety and efficiency of vessel traffic operations.
