Description
Summary:Different operating conditions could significantly influence the performance of filtration typically permeation flux. They included the influent feed flow rates, the influent feed solids concentration, as well as the packed fibre density. Adjustment to these conditions can impact the filtration efficiency and overall productivity. Some mathematical and numerical models and analysis were studied, and the impacts of these conditions were also investigated. Moreover, there were also supplementary studies including backwash of clogged filter and possibility attachment of microbes onto the filters which were important factors in filtration process and would be further elaborated in the following sections. The glass-fibre filter was also proposed and studied as pre-filter to secure water safety worldwide. Besides, the results showed decline trends in permeation flux with increasing feed flow rates, feed solids concentration, and packing density.
