Summary: | With the rapid advancement of technology, the capabilities of the mobile phone have
stretched pass its intended communication capabilities. Image capturing, location tracking
and even Internet accessing capabilities are no longer foreign to the once humble mobile

Combining the technologies from various systems, City Navigation (CityNav) provides
users with a more user-friendly and easy way to navigate themselves around the
unfamiliar concrete jungle with just a simple mobile phone which is equipped with camera
functions.
Being a navigation tool, CityNav requires a database which contains all the information
that is required. Being a major component on the server, the database design is essential in
the overall performance efficiency of CityNav.
This report describes detailed work related to CityNav, from related works, background
technologies, database design implementation and future works. |
