By examining the existing literature and identifying research gaps, this study offers insights into the essential factors and significant impacts of communication in project success. The research highlights the significance of communicating effectively between project teams and stakeholders, emphasizing that project success relies not only on internal team communication but also on the communication of the intended strategy to external stakeholders. Project managers have a crucial role in bridging this communication gap and ensuring that the strategy is effectively conveyed to stakeholders, fostering alignment and active involvement. Emphasizing the role of technology and considering the perspectives of various stakeholders are additional areas for exploration. However, several limitations were identified in the research. These include a small sample size and limited industry representation, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. The reliance on self-reported data from project managers and team members introduces potential biases. Additionally, the research focused primarily on the relationship between strategy implementation and project success, overlooking other contributing factors. To address these limitations, future research is recommended to employ larger sample sizes and utilize a quantitative and qualitative approach to gather data. Longitudinal studies can explore the long-term effects of communication and strategy implementation on project success. Comparative studies across different project types and contexts, as well as cross-cultural studies, can provide a more comprehensive understanding of effective communication strategies. description |
Effective communication is critical when it comes to implementing strategy and this research
targets to understand the role of communication to implement strategy within project teams and
with stakeholders. By examining the existing literature and identifying research gaps, this study
offers insights into the essential factors and significant impacts of communication in project
success.
The research highlights the significance of communicating effectively between project teams and
stakeholders, emphasizing that project success relies not only on internal team communication
but also on the communication of the intended strategy to external stakeholders. Project
managers have a crucial role in bridging this communication gap and ensuring that the strategy is
effectively conveyed to stakeholders, fostering alignment and active involvement.
Practical recommendations for organizations are also proposed, highlighting the importance of
training project managers in communication skills, implementing visibility systems, involving
project team members in decision-making processes, and monitoring project progress regularly.
Emphasizing the role of technology and considering the perspectives of various stakeholders are
additional areas for exploration.
However, several limitations were identified in the research. These include a small sample size
and limited industry representation, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. The
reliance on self-reported data from project managers and team members introduces potential
biases. Additionally, the research focused primarily on the relationship between strategy
implementation and project success, overlooking other contributing factors.
To address these limitations, future research is recommended to employ larger sample sizes and
utilize a quantitative and qualitative approach to gather data. Longitudinal studies can explore the
long-term effects of communication and strategy implementation on project success.
Comparative studies across different project types and contexts, as well as cross-cultural studies,
can provide a more comprehensive understanding of effective communication strategies. |
