Instead of looping, random jumping from frame to frame is used in this approach. In order to achieve this, frames with most similarity need to be determined as the video should be segmented accordingly. A continuous streaming of video is done by random selection of segment following streams of the previous segments. Taking into account of processing time needed, several frame comparison methods will be discussed and evaluated. The report will then describe on the approach to do the jumping during the playback. Several existing problems during a jump and its solutions will also be covered. Morphing can be used to make the played-back video as smooth as possible. This report will also provide a possible approach to do morphing automatically without user information. A detailed case study on the result of implementation will be covered. A game has also been developed to be the platform for this player, which will also be discussed in this report. At the end of this report, conclusion will be drawn for the performance of the implementation and also its limitation. Some ideas for improvement will also be suggested.
