Description
Summary:Our lead story will focus on what it means to be an elderly person in a fast paced society like Singapore. We want to explore if there is a place in the society for them, since our society seems to be dominated by the young. We hope to present the options for the elderly hoping to spend their sunset years in a meaningful manner. The second article will be on housing the elderly and investigate the current options available and the issues that come with it. It will also look at the possibility of a retirement village in Singapore. Our third article focuses on long-term elderly care in Singapore. We explore nursing homes, their alternatives and their challenges. We also present the financial implications for many Singaporeans as they grapple with an aging population.
