Unlike its predecessor wireless network technologies, infrastructure-based wireless networks and ad-hoc wireless networks, wireless sensor network technology provide maximum application’s flexibility with minimum price and power consumption. One of the common methods used in system monitoring nowadays is through website. This is due to the rapid advancement in technology that allows personal computer (PC) to perform extremely fast computation and the invention of Internet and World Wide Web that enable users to share information through multiple channels. As web application becomes more common, so does its usage as system monitoring tool. Indoor environment monitoring system is being widely developed nowadays, with the aim of monitoring air quality of rooms and energy saving system (smart house). Nevertheless, it is still hard to find such monitoring system which satisfies low price, low power consumption, real-time update, and reliable requirements. Emergence of WSN technology and rapid advancement of internet technology seem to give good solution for the problem. By using WSN technology and internet, a home environment monitoring system which satisfies the requirements of low price, energy saving, real-time update, and reliable requirements can be realized. This gives fundamental idea for many further application researches using WSN and internet technologies.
