Description
Summary:The Final Year Project (FYP) is a culminating experience for computer science students at the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE). Manual allocation of students to FYPs and examiners is tedious and time-consuming. To streamline this, the FYP Examiner Allocation System (FEAS) and Student Selection System (SSS) were developed and iteratively improved over multiple semesters. This report encompasses the continued evolution of FEAS and SSS, along with the creation of two new applications - the FYP Application (FYP-APP) and Master of Cyber Security Internship Application (MSCS IA), better known as Master’s Professional Internship Application (MPI-APP). The bulk of the report covers the maintenances made to FEAS and SSS, the development of the new apps, and the leadership of an 8-person team during the project's second half. Finally, future enhancements are proposed based on lessons learned. Overall, this report summarizes a successful FYP of sustaining and extending key applications that improve efficiency and experience for the FYP’s stakeholders.
