Description
Summary:The rapid evolution of smart home technology offers tremendous potential for enhancing convenience, security, and efficiency in our daily lives. This final year project showcases the creation of a comprehensive smart home system, leveraging the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B as the central controller. The system seamlessly integrates a diverse range of functionalities to provide an intelligent and secure living environment. The core features of this smart home system encompass real-time weather reporting, RadioFrequency Identification (RFID) card access control, fingerprint biometric authentication, integration with Google Assistant, remote control of LED lighting via an intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI), management of door locks through the GUI, intruder detection and alert mechanisms, motion sensing capabilities, and cutting-edge face recognition technology. This project not only explores the individual functionality of these components but also aims to create a seamless and integrated experience for users. The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B serves as the core of this smart home system, coordinating the various features and ensuring reliable operation. The project emphasizes the importance of security, energy efficiency, and user-friendly interfaces, contributing to the evolution of smart home technology and its applications in real-world scenarios.
