Summary: | Purpose – The intention of this study was to explore the impact of Job Searching Self-Efficacy (JSSE), Education Self-Efficacy (ESE) and Extraversion effects on achieving a successful job. Based on exploratory factor analysis, four factors were derived. Namely, Peer influence, JSSE, Extraversion and Success in Job Searching.
Design/methodology/approach – To summarize JSSE, ESSE and Extraversion Factor analysis was used to analyse important factors. Corrected item-total correlation coefficients and Cronbach’s alpha (Reliability tests) were adopted so as to determine the internal consistency of questionnaire responses. Also, to investigate the relationship between JSSE, EESE and Extraversion, multiple regression model analysis was carried out.
Findings – Results proved that ESE has a beneficial effect on JSSE. There is a partial beneficial relationship between ESE and Extraversion. Furthermore, there is positive relationship between JSSE and successful job application, Likewise, there is positive relationship between Extraversion and successful job application. Therefore, we derived that factors are deemed as important determinants that affect graduates in achieving a successful job application.
Originality/value – This study focused on the significance of relationship between JSSE, ESSE and Extraversion factors in successful job applications. |
