The primary objective of this study is to enhance our knowledge regarding shear deformation in reinforced concrete beams by conducting a methodical and exhaustive examination. This study consists of a sequence of meticulously planned laboratory experiments where specimens of reinforced concrete beams are impacted with a range of shear forces. Experiments are designed to: The principal objective of the research is to quantify the shear deformation characteristics exhibited by beams composed of reinforced concrete. Through the implementation of incremental shear loads and subsequent response monitoring, our objective is to determine the magnitude of shear deformations that occur under different loading conditions. Evaluate Shear Reinforcement Strategies: This research investigates the efficacy of various stirrups and other shear reinforcement techniques in mitigating shear deformation. This evaluation offers significant insights regarding the effectiveness of these approaches and their impact on shear resistance. Evaluation of Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs) Accuracy for Deformation Measurement In conjunction with experimental investigations, this study will evaluate the accuracy and dependability of several LVDTs used to measure deformation in structural materials. It is anticipated that the results of this study will make a substantial contribution to the discipline of civil engineering by offering crucial knowledge regarding the behaviour of reinforced concrete bream under shear deformation and the efficacy of shear reinforcement techniques. By acquiring this knowledge, engineers and designers will be equipped to make well-informed decisions during the design and construction process of concrete structures. As a result, the constructed environment will be more secure, dependable, and environmentally sustainable.
