Summary: | Long exposure photography involves capturing images over extended periods to capture unique moments, particularly in photography that captures moving lights. While there are some commercially available kits for long exposure photography on the market, they are often not easily customizable, and many lack automated presets. Setting up long exposure shots can be a challenging and time-consuming process, requiring a deep understanding of adjusting the zoom and focus lens to achieve desired results.
This project aims to enhance and broaden the capabilities of long exposure photography, specifically addressing the movement of the zoom and focus lens during the exposure period. The primary goal is to develop a setup that introduces automation to DSLR cameras during long exposure shoots by employing motors to swivel the zoom and focus lens.
The integration of hardware and software on Raspberry Pi Pico, as utilized in this project, offers a promising avenue for achieving seamless long exposure photography. This approach seeks to streamline the process, making it more accessible to photographers of all ages, while reducing the time and precision traditionally required to capture the desired image. |
