Description
Summary:The goal of this project is to create a low-cost IoT home automation system that monitors room temperature and humidity and controls a dehumidifier linked to a TPLink Smart plug KASA for simplicity of use, utilizing Blynk IoT and the primary microcontroller ESP32. The system gathers real-time data using a commonly accessible temperature and humidity sensor (for example, a DHT11), which is then wirelessly transferred to the Blynk cloud platform. The Blynk app allows users to see current temperature and humidity levels, establish desired thresholds, and remotely manage connected humidifiers via relay utilizing TP-Link Smart Plug to maintain ideal comfort conditions within the room. The ESP32’s robust processing capabilities and built-in Wi-Fi capability make it an excellent candidate for this application, which requires rapid data gathering and cloud communication. This study highlights the possibility and benefits of using DIY IoT technologies to improve home comfort and energy efficiency.
