However, sensors other than the touchscreen interface are typically not used in traditional music production applications like GarageBand, limiting their ability to replicate the sensation of playing the real physical instrument. Therefore, this project aims to investigate the viability of developing an Android application that would leverage the various sensors embedded in Android smartphones to enable users to interact with virtual percussion instruments in an intuitive manner. Additionally, it will offer robust recording capabilities that would allow users to easily mix different instrumental sounds inside the application to create original musical compositions. The goal of this project is to enrich the user experience in music creation by bridging the gap between digital music production and the tactile experience of playing physical instruments.
