Description
Summary:The Final Year Project (FYP) is the capstone project of computer science students' journey at the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE). The manual assignment of students to FYPs and examiners is laborious. Hence, the FYP Examiner Allocation System (FEAS) and Student Selection System (SSS) were originally created to algorithmically assign FYPs to final year students efficiently and optimally. This document encapsulates the ongoing evolution of the original FEAS and SSS, alongside the introduction of a new application - the FYP Application (FYP-APP) to integrate the FEAS and SSS under one application for more streamlined maintenance and usage. The primary focus of the report revolves around the upkeep of FEAS and SSS, the development of the new application, FYP-APP. Lastly, it outlines possible improvements to the systems based on current insights. In essence, this report outlines a successful FYP endeavor dedicated to maintaining and expanding pivotal applications aimed at enhancing efficiency and user experience for all stakeholders involved in the FYP process.
