| Summary: | Kinship verification is the task of identifying biological relations between two persons based on facial features. It is an important area of study with applications in different fields such as forensics and genealogy. To improve kinship verification results, this paper introduces the use of colour information. A feature extraction algorithm is introduced, followed by the colour space it can be used in. Finally, deep learning is performed and cosine similarity is used as a metric to label kin or non-kin. |
