Summary:Logic gates are building blocks for smart technology. Application of logic gates into technology may be difficult to grasp. Interactive learning is an effective method to learn new things. This project aims to address the lack of fun, flexible, portable ways to learn one of the complicated topics in electronics. In this project, hardware and software products were developed to teach about logic gates in an interactive manner as there are not many existing exciting ways to learn electronics. The hardware products are a kit named LogiKit that comes with enlarged versions of logic gates called LogiKLego. These were developed to have the flexibility to try out different arrangements of logic gates that caters to different levels of understanding to observe the logic flow. The software product is an Android mobile application named LogiKApp was developed to teach and quiz on the basic theoretical knowledge on logic gates. In addition, this LogiKApp can also connect to LogiKit via Bluetooth to control the input and collect the truth table according to the placement of LogiKLego on LogiKit. Upon letting some try out these products, the feedback was positive and was said it helped them grasp the concepts easily, benefitting eager learners. Further recommendations were also made to incorporate more advanced topics and produce more LogiKLegos to allow more flexibility and creativity.
