Dementia encompasses a wide range of symptoms associated with a decline in cognitive abilities due to conditions like Alzheimer's disease, affecting daily functioning and interpersonal relationships. The Person-Centred Care (PEAR) system is developed to improve care for dementia patients by facilitating better communication among caregivers, supervisors, guardians, physicians, and other stakeholders. It aims to provide comprehensive support for patient care and coordination. The report explores key factors that should be incorporated into a software engineering project to lead to its successful implementation as well as important principles that developers should be mindful of to create components that provide a satisfiable user experience. The report delineates the project's journey, emphasizing enhancements in the React Native mobile application to support healthcare providers and caregivers in delivering superior person-centred care to dementia patients. It outlines the project scope, including code quality enhancement, bug fixing, functionality augmentation, and documentation expansion to facilitate continuity and ease of understanding for future development teams.
